Amazon Title Update Rolling out on Digishare RAMP

In response to Amazon’s recent product title requirement update, we are currently rolling out updates to our Digishare RAMP platform to offer you flexible ways to ensure your products remain compliant.

Going forward, every product on our platform with now feature “Short Product Title” and “Item Highlights” fields alongside the original “Product Title”. The new fields give you the ability to update your existing products to the current standard and create new products that fit the requirement from the start.

By keeping the original Product Title field, we ensure that your original data remains in our systems and continues your contents’ compatibility with other global retailers.

When updating existing product data with new titles, three options are available:

  1. Use our Bulk Export / Import toolset to download large product ranges and catalogues at once, for automated processing and reupload.
  2. Complete on a one-by-one basis using StoryBuilder
  3. Contact us to arrange for in-house AI processing via our bespoke toolkit. We have created a proprietary automation to edit and shorten your existing titles and generate Item Highlights from both your title and augments it from your existing product information. This distinguishes it from the current Amazon AI process, which only divides your original title with any further augmentation.

Updates on the new requirements

We have seen further updates and clarification from Amazon on this new standard. As well as confirming many of our earlier assumption, it also clarifies a couple of interesting points:

  • Both short titles and highlights will carry equal weight in search ranking, resulting in no discoverability loss with the new format
  • No other title policy changes – redundant words, banned terms, etc all remain unchanged
  • There will be no product suppression due to these guidelines in 2026 – there will be a transition period to enact the necessary changes across your catalogue
  • There will be no CDQ score impact until the end of 2026
